8/20/17 – State of Midlands V. Dylan Hendricks

Many students are saddened when summer comes to a close, however for the particpants in Haverford Mock Trial the end of summer means a new American Mock Trial Association (AMTA) case. The case was released on August 15th and for many Haverford Mockers, time was spent reading the case, excitedly sending text messages and calling fellow teammates about possible case theories.

This year’s case State of Midlands V. Dylan Hendricks focuses on an attempted murder. This case is especially juicy as it involves affairs, dating apps and a wide array of character and expert witnesses. Throughout the summer AMTA gave participants teasers to what the case in chief actually would be, but for many the actual case content went beyond expectations.

One thing is for certain that this year’s AMTA season will be full of surprises and twists and turns. Haverford Mock Trial is excited to see what different theories are brought throughout the season and especially at the Black Squirrel Invitational, which occurs on November 4-5th. We are also looking forward to welcoming new students as well as returning students to our information sessions, tabling events and tryouts.
