Pre-law? No

Role: Attorney

Bio: I have never truly “lost” an argument, other people may think that they have “won”, but I have never uttered the words: “You are right, I was wrong.” That statement (whether true or not) is the most representative possible bio there can be of me. Oh, and I obsess over Tab results, like study them, make a shrine to them, standard stuff – because let me tell you: “Numbers Never Lie”.

Pre-law? Yes

Role: Attorney

Bio: I take Mock Trial way to seriously to ever date anyone on the team. I also aspire to make every case somehow related to Shakespeare because lets be real, Shakespeare is love, Shakespeare is life. I did Mock Trial in high school, but it wasn’t until Haverford that I really found my place and was able to start incorporating my Shakespeare based case theory into all of our cases. Did you know that Sawyer Shaw and Kirby Doolittle were star-crossed lovers? I did.

Jaime Metzger (’19)

Pre-Law? No

Role: Witness

Bio: Hi! So excited to be a part of this webpage! I guess christmas miracles really do come true! Next stop hollywood! I am going to be a famous mockstar one day. For those not in the know, I’m going to rap objections. I just really want to contribute to society, you know?? You know. I know too. I really feel like we have that in common. I think we’re bonding? Are we best friends? Don’t answer that, I already know. I wrote you a song. It’s 801D2E rapped over My Heart Will Go On. You’ll love it.

Bio: I love Haverford so much. I guess mock trial too, but mostly Haverford. Honestly, like I just love the people, and the atmosphere, everything just seems better in red and black! I consider myself to be a very analytical person, STEM or gtfo. I also love Taylor Swift, like you don’t understand. Did you know that every mock trial case is based on a taylor swift song, and yes, taylor swift’s songs make the perfect theme. “We were both young, when I first saw you, I close my eyes. […] and I was crying on the stair case, begging you please don’t go.” Sound familiar Riley Winter? Yeah, told you. If only Winter was 22, amirit!

Franchesca Ramirez (’20)

Class of 2020

Role: Attorney

Bio: Let’s start with this- metal rock n’ roll, bruh. I am pretty relaxed when it comes to mock trial, and rules in general. I guess you could call me a “rebel”. My favorite song is Gangsta’s paradise, and idk, I feel like that pretty much represents me perfectly.

Major: Economics/Math

Minor: Psychology/Philosophy

Role: Witness

Bio: I am 7/8th French, 1/8th Chinese, born in Thailand, lived in 6 countries. Im also one of the easiest people to talk to. I consider myself to be fairly quite and “a good listener”. I don’t really like to voice my opinion and I like to think I’m pretty easy-going. This is my first time doing mock trial, so I like to just say yes whenever I am asked a question. Nobody really gets mad at me then. I normally just make some excuse to take off my shirt and show off what Skye Martin really does with all his extra time he spends not doing his job ;). Judges normally mark me pretty well after I do that, but apparently its “not in good taste,” I don’t know what they mean, maybe its some American thing. Speaking of which, my favorite thing to do in a trial is to just start speaking really fast in french so nobody understands me. But seriously, if one more judge tells me that I should avoid an accent… its real guys… I’m sorry. Actually, no I’m not.
